The DevOps Manager will lead Gigamon’s DevOps and build/release engineering team in Chennai, driving automation and operational excellence across multiple products. This role will own CI/CD, build infrastructure, Jenkins pipelines, artifact management, and software release processes. The manager will partner closely with Engineering, QA, Operations, Security, and Platform teams to improve build reliability, engineering productivity, and product and manufacturing workflows. This role will also advance security-focused practices, including SBOM generation, vulnerability scanning, and security operations.
What you’ll do:
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing DevOps and build/release engineering team in Chennai.
Own, optimize, and scale CI/CD, Jenkins, GitLab, Git, Linux, and build and release infrastructure.
Automate software builds, image creation, artifact publishing, and end-to-end release processes.
Improve build reliability, performance, scalability, and developer productivity across multiple products.
Establish and maintain artifact management, SBOM generation, vulnerability scanning, and security operations practices.
Partner with Engineering, QA, Operations, Security, and Platform teams to automate product and manufacturing workflows.
Define DevOps best practices, operational processes, service-level metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you’ve done:
Built 18 or more years of experience in DevOps, build and release engineering, software infrastructure, or a related field.
Led technical teams or engineering functions for at least three years, with demonstrated experience developing and mentoring talent.
Developed and managed CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Git, Linux, Python, Shell scripting, and related technologies.
Designed and operated build systems, artifact repositories, and software release automation.
Improved the reliability, performance, and efficiency of build and release platforms.
Implemented or supported artifact management, SBOM generation, vulnerability scanning, and security-focused engineering practices.
Gained experience with networking, embedded systems, appliances, or cloud products; this experience is a plus.
